France, the second half of the 18th century. A terrible creature nicknamed the inhabitants of the Beast appears in a place called Zhevadan, it ruthlessly kills women and children. The beast seems elusive, moving away from numerous raids, it does not take bullets, it disappears just as suddenly as it appears, and only few survivors are able to describe his appearance. The king Louis XV decides to understand what is happening and instructs the scientist Gregor de Front to investigate the brutal killings.
