The commander of Adams and his crew must find out the fate of the colony of earthlings in the Altair IV system, which ceased to communicate several years ago. After a year of traveling in the hyperspace, the ship of the combined planets sits on the planet, where they find only two living people - philologist Morbius and his sexy daughter Altair. All other colonists died for an unknown reason. Morbius insists that the astronauts immediately leave the planet, because he cannot guarantee their security, but the commander decides to stay. The same night, several people die, literally torn into pieces by some unknown and invisible force. Despite all the efforts of the crew, they cannot resist the alien threat. Their only hope is on the mighty robot Robbie, the product of the extraterrestrial mind, and the young Altair.
