50-year-old Karen lives as if out of habit. Many years ago, as a teenage girl, she was forced to give her her daughter just born to another family. Her grown daughter Elizabeth, a cold and prudent lawyer, slides through life along the tangent - without emotions and affection. She likes to play powerful men`s games. She is afraid of love.
