Norway is beginning of the 20th century. Winter. On the island of Bastya, in Oslo Fjord, there is a colony for homeless teenagers. They are contained in truly sadistic conditions: psychological pressure and humiliation are the methods by which the protection holds them in the depth. They are not given any education, but they are used as cheap labor. 11-18 year old teenagers survive, thanks to forced adaptation to inhuman conditions. They are cruel, they are forced to negotiate with each other, they buy and sell. Erling, another renegade for 17 years, who has fallen on the island, for the purposes of self -defense, accidentally kills an officer, and next spring, when he is 18, he should be transported to prison for adults. In fact, Erling lives his last winter, because transfer to another prison means for inevitable death for him. But he has completely different plans. He decides to make the impossible - to escape from Bastya, the islands of the devil ...
