Eleven -year -old Will Brannan is a large fan of the Liverpool football club. He lives at a school for boys in England, devoting all his time to his beloved team. His life is turning over when the long-missed father, Gareth, who brought tickets for the final of the 2005 Champions League in Istanbul, is unexpectedly declared. However, before these two go to Istanbul, Gareth suddenly dies, leaving, this time, Will forever. Trying to adapt to live in a world where he remained an orphan, Will runs to Turkey. So he hopes to make his father’s memory simultaneously and be next to his beloved Liverpool. On the way, Will meets Alec, a former star football player of Yugoslavia, who left the game after the tragic events of the Civil War in his country. Despite the initial unwillingness to accompany the boy, Alec still finds the strength to go to Istanbul with him. Together, the heroes will try to prove to themselves that it is never too late to dream in life.
