Aurora
Aurora is a pupil of the orphanage on the outskirts of Pripyat. She loves to dance and dreams of becoming a ballerina. During the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the girl receives a huge dose of irradiation. The only chance of survival is an expensive operation in the United States. Avtra is sent to America, where in the hospital she meets her idol, the star of the Soviet and then American ballet, Nika Astakhov, who is experiencing a deep creative crisis.
