In order to find criminals, the government, in exchange for pardon, sends on a dangerous journey Kalamiti Jane and a secret agent undercover, which should portray a husband and wife. When the agent is killed, Jane has to urgently find a new “husband” - a dentist of a “painless” Peter Potter, a loser and a coward who wants to leave the barbaric west far behind and return east. When the Indians attack the caravan of the van, Jane attributes his well -aimed shooting to Potter, who instantly becomes a hero in the eyes of the townspeople, the cover of Jane, and the bait for the Indians and Trade of Weapons.
