1997. The entire island of Manhattan is one large prison of a maximum security. For many years, the Third World War has been going on. The president was captured by a group of revolutionaries and imprisoned. The war veteran Plisssken must rescue the president from this zone of infinite cruelty, and he has very little time. If he does not save the president on time, he will die himself. A deadly drug was introduced to him, and he will receive an antidote upon return.
