The mournful narrative of the tragic events that occurred in the middle of the 19th century on the French island of San Pierre, where a simple sailor Neil Auguste was sentenced to death. However, it was impossible to execute a criminal without a guillotine, so a messenger was sent to Martinika, and the sentenced was locked in a military fortress under the supervision of a courageous captain and his charming wife, who gave Nila a chance to atone for her sins with honest labor. Soon, the whole island fell in love with the repentant rowdy, and no one wanted to become his executioner. But a quick ship with a wooden `widow` on board is already approaching San Pierre. Who will lower her sharp blade around the sailor`s neck? Will the captain and his wife be able to protect his unfortunate ward?
