After the death of his wife, the man refuses to go outside and does not want to communicate with his only son. Life loses its meaning, ceases to exist for it. Once the boy finds a chick of a pelican, whom he decides to leave. He feeds the bird, and warm friendly relations are tied between them. Pelican helps the boy again find his father and revive him to life.
