60s of the XX century. “The City of God” is a quarter in Rio de Janeiro, where the main characters live-an 8-year-old rocket dreaming of becoming a photographer, and his one-year-old Dadinya. Dadinho takes part in an armed robbery organized by Gangster Kabaleira living in the neighborhood. With the consent of Kabaleira, he commits his first murder. 70s. The rocket constantly balances between small offenses and an honest life. Dadinya already has several murders. He leads the gang, which he controls using cunning and cold -blooded betrayal. Realizing that real power and big money can only give control over the trade in drugs in their quarter, he ruthlessly goes to his goal. 80s. The rocket finally gets the camera and carries out its childhood dream. Dadinya’s dream also came true: at 18, he became the coolest drug dealer in Rio.
