Coach Carter
Coach Carter
The film is based on a real story that occurred in 1999 in Richmond, California. Ken Carter’s school school coach made an unprecedented decision in the middle of the season, banning players who had not yet experienced a single defeat, to go to the site due to low academic performance at school. As a result, the team missed two games in the championship, and the young basketball players closed access to the gym until they studied well. The Carter’s act caused both approval and sharp criticism from the parents of players and school leadership. Among the members of the team was the son of a coach, who later received a prestigious educational institution.
