1950s. The pickpocket and adventurer Knock, hiding from the "colleagues" in the small French town of Saint-Moris, pretends to be a licensed doctor. He came up with a cunning, but simple plan, how not to be left without a livelihood: to treat healthy people from their non -existent diseases. NOC - a master in the art of manipulation and seduction - almost achieved the desired goal, if not for two small difficulties: he fell in love, and on the threshold suddenly appeared a friend from the past, who intends to tell the whole truth about the doctor.
