Mid-19th century. The dumb hell, along with a little daughter and beloved piano, leaves his native Scotland and moves to the other end of the world, to New Zealand, where she is waiting for the future husband Stuart. He refuses to deliver a piano to the house, which remains abandoned on the shore. Ada, not talking from the age of six, still shows her husband the whole depth of his anger.
