Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio Will Get Its World Premiere At London Film Festival 2022

These are a good few weeks to be a fan of the little wooden puppets. 2022 is officially the year of Pinocchio, with Robert Zemeckis' Disney version coming in just over a week on Disney+, and Guillermo del Toro's long-awaited stop-motion adaptation coming to Netflix later this year. The Oscar-winning genre legend has a fresh take on Carlo Collodi's fable for a worldwide release in December, but before that, Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival.
This is one of the many world premieres that will take place this year at the festival, which takes place in the capital from 5 to 16 October. The festival will kick off with the premiere of the musical Matilda, while other venues will feature the first screenings of Nora Toomey's Cartoon Saloon's My Father's Dragon, Asif Kapadia's latest film The Thing, Neil Maskell's directorial debut Klockenlueder, The Inner earth" with Mark Rylance in the title role and the film "Dean "Manor" Craig with Anna Faris and Toni Collette in the lead roles.
